HEALTH CARE: A healthy Nation is a wealthy Nation

Based on feedback from the ground, we can easily say that If it was to be a patient, the health sector in Tana river county would be in ICU.  Hospitals lack the prerequisite medicines and the health facilities are in dilapidated state. It is common for patients to be seen at the county hospital and hastly referred to purchase medicines at a local pharmacy.

We will work on 4 Pillars in the health sectors which we call the 4A's of health i.e
Affordability: Health care services too expensive. We need to make them affordable
Accessibility: Healthcare services are inaccesible. We shall use outreach, ambulance hubs and mobile clinics
Availability: We are short on equipments, skills, resource & drugs. Medical infra to be impoved
Adaptabily: Once the 3A's above are achieved we need to adapt to ensure sustainability.

Hassan Morowa's government will ensure all loopholes that exist in the health chain are closed.  We shall also ensure there is a sort of Insurance Fund where the sick are treated at a minimal charge.

Ambulance Services have remained a challenge to date. It has been normal for a patient calling for Ambulances from other Counties to save a medical emergency. This should not be allowed to continue. Hassan Morowa's government shall ensure there are atleast two working Ambulances in each of the sub-counties taking into consideration the expansive nature of our county. These shall be under a command centre with driver and emergency medical tecnicians in each ambulance on standby.

Emergency ambulance services planned for every sub-county in Tana River.
