A MESSAGE FROM ME
I'm Hassan Morowa, born and raised in Tana Delta. I ran for Governor in 2022, and whereas I was number 6 overall, I finished second out of nine candidates from the Pokomo community, the largest voter group in the county. Now in 2027, I come back wiser, ready to unite all communities-Pokomo, Orma, Wardei and beyond. The incumbent was the first and with him being constitutionally barred from vying for the governor post, we have a real chance to choose leadership that listens, includes everyone and brings smart, lasting development to all regions without discrimination.

WHERE HE COMES FROM
Hassan Morowa was born at Nduru village in Chara location, Tana Delta. He is the last born in the family of the late Alhaj Muhammad Ali Hiribae and Mama Bona Rhoka. His father, a classmate of the renowned Sheikh Omar Dima from Kilindini helped bring Islam to the region when most people followed traditional beliefs. That history shaped Hassan’s values of honesty, respect, and trust by the community. Today, he carries those values forward as a father of four children-Morowa, Abiyo, Al-Amin, and Zeynab Bona. He is a leader who stands for unity and fair development for everyone in Tana River County.
A THRIVING CAREER
Hassan Morowa is a businessman and a candidate poised to become the next Governor of Tana River County in 2027. As an economist from the University of Nairobi, he joined the banking industry in Management for close to 2 decades, a journey he began in Habib (K) Finance, Habib Bank A.G Zurich, First American Bank (later turned to Commercial Bank of Africa) and Co-operative Bank of Kenya where he retired from and ventured into business in the Health sector and Studio business.
He has nurtured and inspired tens of people who have now stamped themselves in businesses stretching from Tana, Mombasa and Nairobi counties.
