CULTURE & YOUTH: Where Values meet the Workforce
Tana River County is home to one of Kenya’s richest and most diverse cultures. The tune of the national anthem itself emanates from Tana River. From farmers to fishermen, livestock keepers to artisans, our way of life is woven from many threads, creating a heritage found nowhere else. Over half of our population is made up of vibrant, energetic youth. Yet for years, their potential has been sidelined. They are misused during elections, then forgotten once the votes are counted. It’s time to change that narrative.
.

To refocus the Youth to compete with their counterparts in other regions, we purpose to have selected zones (HOT SPOTS) where Internet shall be free for all. We believe such kinds of guided exposure will help them think out of the box and have access to online resources where job applications can be seen and applied for easily.
We shall also have annual events like CULTURE DAY where traditional activities like, Rowing competition, bao and dancing become part and parcel of the annual calendar. Hassan Morowa has become the defacto face of the Annual "JILA" celebrations that hav showcased some of our Cultures in Nairobi. Other counties like Meru and Busia have come calling to understand how the organisation is done so that they may replicate it or have a collaborative participation. Indeed the future is bright on this aspect once Hassan is elected as Governor.
